Rockets add Romel Beck to camp roster

Houston Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey announced today that the team has signed guard/forward Romel Beck to the training camp roster.
Beck (6-7, 185, UNLV) averaged 9.8 points (.528, 19-36 FG) and 3.0 rebounds in five games (two starts) with the San Antonio Spurs in the 2009 NBA Summer League presented by EA SPORTS. In 2008-09, Beck appeared in 16 games (five starts) for the Dakota Wizards of the NBA D-League, averaging 15.9 points, 2.9 assists and 2.1 rebounds. He also played with KK Zadar in Croatia (five games) and Tecos de la UA Guadalajara in Mexico (seven games). Beck’s previous NBA stint was with the Cleveland Cavaliers during the 2008 NBA Summer League, averaging 10.4 points and 20.8 minutes in five games.
