The New Kid in Town

So it's been a while I know. Nothing really big happening in my life you know dentist appointments, went to the super market , got a hair cut and oh yeah..... I'M A DALLAS MAVERICK! What up D-town! I'm ecstatic to be in your town and on this team.
My move to Dallas is a good situation and I’m happy with the move unfortunately we weren’t able to finish what we started in Washington. But I’m happy to be here in Dallas competing for a title.
Obviously playing with a guy like Jason Kidd, you don’t have to work so hard and Dirk draws so much attention and you got guys that just truly want to win and that’s the only goal. I’m just enjoying myself and I’m happy and I think that just lifts a lot of weight off my shoulders. It’s much easier with these guys because they tend to find you right in rhythm and they are excellent team players since they have been around the league for a long time. They understand the game. Dirk is a funny guy. Playing against him you wouldn’t think he has so much personality and a sense of humor, but you see him behind the scenes and he is unbelievable. He made this whole transition very easy for me. Like we went to the Jay Z concert the other night. We just enjoy each other and he is always checking on me making sure I don’t need anything and helping me find a place. He is just an all-around good guy. That just shows me that he really wants me here. My first game in Dallas, I got an insane applause and 80 percent of the arena had straws in their mouth. It was unbelievable. And obviously that straw thing got cut off quick. It is what it is though. I respect the league's decision, even though it’s something I been doing for eight years. It’s all good, I can find something else to chew on.
The transition to the Dallas style of play has been pretty smooth as you can see. I'm getting my shot off quicker and really contributing to this team. The hardest thing about joining this team was moving from the East coast. I've been traded a couple of times but I usually left during the summer and not mid-season. So for me to do this was an adjustment and different. With my wife being pregnant and leaving the kids behind it was tough. I understand this business so I had to do what I had to do. So now that I'm the new kid in town, what do you guys suggest I do? What spots should I hit up first. Let me know! Meeting Charles and the Inside the NBA Crew After my trade, I made an appearance on Inside the NBA with Charles, E.J. and Kenny. Those guys are ridiculous. I don't even know how they let Charles say the things he says. Check me out. My suit was kind of fly too wasn't it? --Tough Juice
