Catching up with the Iowa Energy through early January 2010
The Iowa Energy have started the 2009-2010 season very strongly. Staring 13-2 has put the Energy in first place in the D-League. The Energy are soon to start there next game against Austin in the Showcase in Idaho. The Energy have played some exciting games including their triple overtime victory against Fort Wayne at home a few weeks ago. Coach Nurse has the team playing very unselfishly. Taylor griffin (Phoenix Suns) is a great example. He is on his second stint with the Energy this year and has played well within the system and has been a great team player. Curtis Stinson has led the team well, and Cartier Martin's return, along with many other players have really helped the Energy. Many players have stepped up and raised their game to help the Energy this season. On Saturday, January 9, the energy return home and will play Rio Grande Valley at 7:00 at Vets Auditorium. It is 70's night and the game should be a lot of fun. Please plan to attend. The Energy will then turn around and play again on Sunday at 6:00 p.m. Other exciting news is that rumor has it that the Energy will be playing as part of the new NBA D League television package on the Versus network. The game January 23, 2010 is scheduled to be broadcasted. Please plan to be there and cheer on the Energy. GO ENERGY!!!
