Prospect Watch
Here is the latest update on NBA-assigned players in the NBA D-League. As of Thursday, there were currently no players on assignment to the NBA D-League. A total of 29 different players have been assigned at some point this season. Pape Sy, Utah (Hawks) - Sy was recalled earlier this week after a long stint with the Utah Flash. The 6-7 guard/forward averaged 8.0 points in 23 games with the Flash. Sy's tenure in Utah has to be considered disappointing, as he shot only .424 (56-132) from the field and was a non-factor from three-point range with a .150 (3-20) line. Sy also committed 42 turnovers with only 29 assists in the NBA D-League. He's been inactive for the Hawks in their two games so far this week. Larry Sanders, Fort Wayne (Bucks) - Sanders had a short time in Fort Wayne, playing in only two games before returning to the Bucks. Sanders helped the Mad Ants to two wins while averaging 10.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks. Since his recall on Saturday, Sanders has been thrown right into the fire with the Bucks, playing 27.0 minutes over Milwaukee's last two games. He grabbed eight rebounds and blocked three shots in Tuesday's win over the Pistons. Byron Mullens, Tulsa (Thunder) - Mullens was recalled last Friday afternoon before the 66ers returned to action after the All-Star Break. He was in uniform for Friday's game as the Thunder were left shorthanded by their trade with the Celtics, but did not see action. He's averaging 16.7 points and 8.2 rebounds in six games with Tulsa this season and is eligible to be assigned one more time in 2010-11.
