The reason why i chose Rose over Westbrook is since he had more impressive stats.
Rose:
No step Vertical: 34.5 Max vertical: 40 3/4 Court sprint: 3.05 Bench Press: 10
Westbrook
No step Vertical: 30 Max vertical: 36.5 3/4 Court sprint: 3.08 Bench Press: 12
Rose is faster and can jump higher while Westbrook is stronger. I gave Rose the edge because of his amazing body control.
Thanks for looking up the numbers. I was too lazy to look them up myself. BUt for some reason, Westbrook seems to play even more athletically than those numbers indicate. Also, Westbrook's agility numbers are better than Rose's at 10.98 compared to 11.68 for the lane agility.
What do you guys think about this back issue of Rose's? I'm kind of worried consdering the way his game relies on explosion and contorting himself around the basket to finish. Could this back problem linger and limit what he can do going forward?
Also, I really wish LeBron would go through the combine drills now. I really want to see what his numbers are.

12 seconds isn't entirely accurate. Most runners don't reach their max speeds in the first 25 meters or if they do it's still the acceleration period so simple mathematics like that wouldn't be accurate. I think it's a good enough ball-park number for your point that Wilt could keep up but I honestly don't think he could match a lot of the faster guards. From what I've read he's still by far the best athlete in NBA history IMO though. People say Lebron is up there with him, too, and Shaq in his prime could be pretty close.

Wilt was faster than Westbrook, or faster than Shaq?
I know he was a world class decathlete or whatever but I doubt he was faster than Westbrook.
And Westbrook isn't even as fast as guys like Darren Collison or Ty Lawson, who imo are just about neck-and-neck for fastest in the league.
Wilt maybe had more stamina than either of them, but I doubt he could hold his own in any sort of race, freak or not.
3/4 court sprint Dwayne Wade 3.08 Westbrook 3.08 Collison 3.10 Lawson 3.12 John Wall 3.14 Thats what they ran in college but i don't think Collison is faster than Wall and Lawson.

Yeah I think he meant Shaq, that's why I was asking.
Honestly I think he meant Westbrook.

Last I read, Wilt could run a 10.5 second 100 yard dash back in his track days. I'd say that is enough to keep up with him.
Watch, i'll do some obscure calculations to prove i'm right. 3/4 speed of Westbrook was 3.08 someone said. 3/4 of a court is 25 yards. 3.8 * 4 = 12.32. So roughly Westbrook would of been running around a 12 second 100 yard dash. And have a fun picture of Wilt Chamberlian with Andre the Giant and Arnold to make you feel better. farm4.static.flickr.com/3386/3333882500_...
